TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO HIRE A CAR
- Drivers age and license: Minimum 20 years old for car groups A,B,B1,C,D and 23 years for rest vehicles. A valid driving license category B held at least one year is required.
- Availability: SPIRIT rent car reserves the right to change car model in exceptional cases.
- Fuel: The fuel paid by the renter who returns the vehicle with the same level of fuel as when it was received from us
- Fines & Penalties: All traffic fines are on the renter’s responsibility
- Ferrying the car: It is not permitted. Renter pay penalty is ferrying the vehicle out of the island
- OFF ROAD DRIVING: is PROHIBITED! You must driving in good condition roads. That means you must driving only in asphalt streets. If you driving off road there is penalty from the company 150euro extra from destroyed tires and lower part damages.
- Payments: In cash or via credit card. Online Reservations We have a Easy and Secure Online Reservation System that the customer can Book his Car Online. The customer must pay the 20% of the price with Credit Card and the rest with the delivery of the car. The Transactions becomes from the Secure server of the Eurobank Bank of Greece with a (SSL 128 bit encryption ) VERISIGN – MICROSOFT.
RENTAL SERVICES INSURANCE & COVERAGES
- PERSONAL DAMAGES: 100% insurance against personal damages - at no extra cost . ( Full comprehensive insurance). Insurance for the driver and the passengers, according to the international incrance laws. Death and body injuries also of persons not riding in or upon the car.
- MATERIAL DAMAGE:All material damages and injuries that you acknowledge to third parties when you are employed in an accident are covered by our company.
- FIRE & THEFT: 100% insurance against fire and theft.
- TYRES & LOWER PART OF THE CAR: Flat tyres and lower part of the car are covered by Spirit rent a car. Condition is to drive only in good condition roads ( asphalt streets , never off road). In case of flat tyre you must stop and change the tire with the spare tire. If you continue driving and destroy the tire you have to pay for it.
- NATURAL CAUSES: 100% insurance against natural causes.
- UNLIMITED MILEAGE: Free kilometres to drive all around Rhodes island
- Delivery and Collection: Pick – up and drop-off from the airport or our office is free. Contact us for more details.
- Baby Seat or Booster is Free of Charge: Our company take care about your babies and offers you free baby seats for ages 1 month old to 6 years old! Booster for childs ages 7 years old to 12 years old! If the renter needs more than one baby seat or booster there is additional charge.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO HIRE A CAR, QUAD OR BUGGY
- RENTERS AND DRIVERS AGE: At least 20 years old .
- DRIVERS LICENSE: The drivers must have been holding their driving license for at least 12 months. Driving License B category is required for renting an ATV or BUGGY.
- INSURANCE: C.D.W. insurance including in the prices. Full cover third party damages. Full cover for the passenger.
- INSURANCE: F.D.W full coverage upon request with additional charge.
- MINIMUM RENTAL: One rental day start from 08:30 am the morning and finish at 20.30 pm the evening, 12 hours.
- THEFT PROTECTION (TPC): Free theft protection to all our vehicles when you keep the keys safe!
- PARKING: Is allowed only in authorized parking zones.
- FUEL-GASOLINE: Renter is responsible for the gasoline consumed during the rental.
- THE RENTER HAS TO PAY FOR: 1) The fuel 2) Any traffic finds.
- THE DRIVER IS NOT COVERED BY ANY INSURANCE IN CASE OF ACCIDENT: 1) Under the influence of alcohol 2) Under the influence of drugs .
AGREEMENT/CONTRACT
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE LEASE OF VEHICLES BETWEEN THE RENTAL COMPANY “SPIRIT VEHICLES AND CARS” AND THE DRIVERS LISTED BY NAME IN THIS CONTRACT.
- Our vehicles are insured with civil liability to third parties.
- The drivers must have been holding their driving license for at least 12 months.
- Only the drivers listed in the contract are allowed to drive the rented vehicle and no one else. If someone else drives the vehicle, the company has the right to charge the credit card or request the corresponding amount of money from the customer, imposing the appropriate fine of 200 euros or more. The company has the right to immediately take hold of the vehicle without any refund.
- The driver is obliged to return the vehicle in the condition they received it and with the same fuel level as stated in the contract. The interior of the vehicle must be clean and passengers should be careful not to cause any unusual damage (torn seats, scratches on plastics, salts on fabric surfaces, damage to the sound system, etc.)
- The driver must return the vehicle at the agreed return date and time. If the vehicle is delayed for any reason whatsoever, then the driver is obliged to inform our company in advance. If they delay the return of the vehicle without prior notice, the company has the legal right to charge the driver for one more day. If the vehicle is delayed and it is returned on a date and time that was already assigned to the next scheduled booking/reservation by the company, then a fine is imposed which amounts to the total amount of the next reservation.
- The company “Spirit cycles & cars” is not obliged to reimburse or refund money to the customer in case they wish to return the vehicle earlier than the specified return date. Also, no money is refunded to the customer in case they return the vehicle with more fuel than they received.
INSURANCE COVERS OFFERED BY THE COMPANY
The following insurance coverage applies only if the driver meets all the conditions mentioned above.
- Full Damage Waiver (F.D.W.): Full comprehensive insurance without exemption. In the event of an accident the driver has full insurance coverage and does not pay for the damage he/she has incurred. This insurance is offered at extra cost of customer per day of rental. When this insurance is selected then tick the field YES.
- Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.): Full comprehensive insurance with exemption. In the event of an accident for which the driver of the vehicle is responsible, then the driver is obliged to pay to the company “SPIRIT” a sum of money up to the amount indicated in the corresponding field. The value given in the corresponding field is without VAT. When this insurance is selected then the corresponding YES field is selected and we enter the maximum amount (without VAT) that the customer has to pay in the event of an accident.
Theft Protection (T.P.): Insurance against Vehicle Theft. This insurance applies only when the driver is in possession of the vehicle keys. In case of loss of keys, then no theft insurance is provided. This insurance is offered at extra cost for the customer per reservation day. When this insurance is selected then YES is selected in the corresponding field.
