In order to avoid any accidents caused by the wrong handling of the driver, before the delivery of each vehicle, a mandatory check will first be made for the existence of the prescribed driving license as well as the driving ability of the customer in it, to establish driving ability and handling of the vehicle. If the driver is found to be unfit to drive the vehicle safely, then it will not be delivered and the booking will be cancelled. The amount that will have been charged as an advance for the reservation of the vehicle, will not be returned.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO HIRE A VEHICLE
Driver’s age and license: Minimum age is 20 years old for ATV's, Buggies and Scooters and 21/23 years old for cars. A valid driving license category A or B held at least one year is required. Max age 75 years old.
Availability: SPIRIT rental company reserves the right to change car’s model in exceptional cases.
Fuel: Renter is responsible for the gas consumed during the rental.
Fines & Penalties: All traffic fines are on the renter’s responsibility.
Ferrying the car: It is not PROHIBITED.
Off road driving: is PROHIBITED! Driving is allowed on good condition roads. If you are driving off road there is penalty from the company for destroyed tires and lower part damages.
Payments: In cash or via credit card. Travelers Check or any third-party credit cards or prepaid cards are not accepted.
Provisional licenses are not accepted.
Insurance: C.D.W insurance is including on the prices. Full cover third party damages. Full cover for the passengers.
Minimum rental: One rental day. One rental day is from 08:30 in the morning to 20:30 in the evening, i.e. 12 hours.
THE DRIVERS ARE NOT COVERED BY ANY INSURANCE IN CASE OF ACCIDENT: 1) Under the influence of alcohol 2) Under the influence of drugs .
RENTAL SERVICES INSURANCE & COVERAGES
PERSONAL DAMAGES: 100% insurance against personal damages - at no extra cost . ( Full comprehensive insurance). Insurance for the driver and the passengers, according to the international incrance laws. Death and body injuries also of persons not riding in or upon the car.
MATERIAL DAMAGE: All material damages and injuries that you acknowledge to third parties when you are employed in an accident are covered by our company.
FIRE & THEFT: 100% insurance against fire and theft.
TYRES & LOWER PART OF THE CAR: Flat tyres and lower part of the car are covered by Spirit rent a car. Condition is to drive only in good condition roads . In case of flat tyre you must stop and change the tire with the spare tire or call road assistance. If you continue driving and destroy it you will be charged.
NATURAL CAUSES: 100% insurance against natural causes.
UNLIMITED MILEAGE: Free kilometres.
DELIVERY/COLLECTION: Pick – up and drop-off from the airport or our office is free. To drop off a vehicle to the airport/port there is minimum rental 4 days.
BABY SEAT OR BOOSTER: First free of charge, second is charge 5 euro per day.
OPEN HOURS OF THE OFFICE: 08:30am-13:00pm & 17:00pm-21:00pm.
AGREEMENT/CONTRACT
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE LEASE OF VEHICLES BETWEEN THE RENTAL COMPANY “SPIRIT VEHICLES AND CARS” AND THE DRIVERS LISTED BY NAME IN THIS CONTRACT.
Our vehicles are insured with civil liability to third parties.
The drivers must have been holding their driving license for at least 12 months.
Only the drivers listed in the contract are allowed to drive the rented vehicle and no one else. If someone else drives the vehicle, the company has the right to charge the credit card or request the corresponding amount of money from the customer, imposing the appropriate fine of 200 euros or more. The company has the right to immediately take hold of the vehicle without any refund.
The driver is obliged to return the vehicle in the condition they received it and with the same fuel level as stated in the contract. The interior of the vehicle must be clean and passengers should be careful not to cause any unusual damage (torn seats, scratches on plastics, salts on fabric surfaces, damage to the sound system, etc.)
The driver must return the vehicle at the agreed return date and time. If the vehicle is delayed for any reason whatsoever, then the driver is obliged to inform our company in advance. If they delay the return of the vehicle without prior notice, the company has the legal right to charge the driver for one more day. If the vehicle is delayed and it is returned on a date and time that was already assigned to the next scheduled booking/reservation by the company, then a fine is imposed which amounts to the total amount of the next reservation.
The company “Spirit cycles & cars” is not obliged to reimburse or refund money to the customer in case they wish to return the vehicle earlier than the specified return date. Also, no money is refunded to the customer in case they return the vehicle with more fuel than they received.
Spirit’s cycles & cars priority is the customers safety. During the process of the vehicle check-in, the company assistants may pause the rental and propose an alternative rental solution or cancel the process if they estimate that it will be critical for the customers safety.
INSURANCE COVERS OFFERED BY THE COMPANY
Collision Damage Waiver (C.D.W.): Full comprehensive insurance with exemption. In the event of an accident for which the driver of the vehicle is responsible, then the driver is obliged to pay to the company “SPIRIT” a sum of money up to the amount indicated in the corresponding field. The value given in the corresponding field is without VAT.
