Terms & Conditions – Holiday Rent a Car Rhodes

General Terms

Welcome to Holiday Rent a Car.
By renting a vehicle from our company, the renter accepts and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.

Driver Requirements

• Drivers must hold a valid driving license recognized in Greece and the European Union.
• Non-EU citizens may be required to present an International Driving Permit (IDP).
• Minimum driver age:
  • Economy & Compact Cars: 21 years
  • SUVs & Larger Vehicles: 23 years
  • Vans & 7/9-Seater Vehicles: 25 years
• Drivers must possess their license for at least one (1) year.

Vehicle Delivery & Collection

• Free delivery and collection may be available in selected areas of Rhodes Island.
• Airport, port, hotel, and accommodation delivery services are subject to prior arrangement.
• Delays in vehicle return without notice may result in additional charges.

Rental Period

• Minimum rental duration is one (1) day.
• The rental period begins and ends at the times stated in the rental agreement.
• Extra hours may be charged proportionally or as a full additional rental day.

Fuel Policy

• Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as delivered.
• Missing fuel will be charged accordingly, including service fees if applicable.

Insurance Coverage

All vehicles include basic insurance according to Greek law.

Insurance does not cover:

• Damage caused by negligence or reckless driving
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Tire, wheel, or undercarriage damage
• Interior damage
• Lost keys or documents
• Personal belongings left inside the vehicle
• Unauthorized drivers

The renter is fully responsible for damages not covered by insurance.

Vehicle Use Restrictions

The renter agrees:

• Not to use the vehicle for racing or illegal activities
• Not to drive off-road or on unsuitable terrain
• Not to transport dangerous materials
• Not to sublease or transfer the vehicle to another person
• Not to allow unauthorized drivers to operate the vehicle

Traffic Fines & Violations

The renter is responsible for all:

• Traffic violations
• Parking fines
• Toll fees
• Administrative penalties occurring during the rental period

Accidents & Breakdown

In case of accident or damage, the renter must:

1. Inform Holiday Rent a Car immediately
2. Contact the police if required
3. Complete all necessary accident reports
4. Not abandon the vehicle

Failure to follow the proper procedure may void insurance coverage.

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation may apply up to a specified period before pickup.
• Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may be charged partially or fully.
• Refunds depend on the booking conditions agreed at reservation time.

Cleaning Policy

Vehicles must be returned in reasonable condition.
Excessively dirty vehicles may incur additional cleaning charges.

Ferry Transport

Vehicles are not allowed to leave Rhodes Island without prior written approval from Holiday Rent a Car.

Liability

Holiday Rent a Car is not responsible for:

• Loss of personal belongings
• Flight or ferry delays
• Weather conditions
• Third-party claims caused by misuse of the vehicle

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Greek law.
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Rhodes, Greece.
