Rental Terms and Conditions
Driver's age : The minimum age limit is 18 years.
Bicycles may not be rented by persons under the age of 18 unaccompanied by a parent or guardian.
Customers must be familiar with the use of bicycles and there is no medical instruction/indication not to use.
They are also responsible for using the accessory for safety measures.
Restrictions
• Passengers must not exceed the permitted number of persons as determined by the manufacturer.
• The tenant is obliged to use the rent wisely, to observe the rules of public safety and the provisions for safe driving.
• The user is not allowed to rent the bicycle to others.
• The driver declares responsibly that he will not rent and use bicycles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• The company has the right to refuse to rent any bicycle to people who are under the influence of drugs alcohol and/or stimulants.
• The company bears no responsibility for any accidents or damage to passengers and third parties resulting from the bad behavior or driving of the renter and passengers, as well as for damage or damage to foreign property that will occur during the rental, which is clearly evident from the company's records. Responsible is the renter.
• The renter undertakes to return the bicycle on the predetermined delivery dates. In case of non-return, there is a corresponding charge.
• The renter declares that before each rental, he examines the bicycle and its operation and finds that it is to his absolute liking and that he receives it in excellent construction and functional condition. It does not proceed with a rental if there is a defect in the rental bike. The receipt of the respective bicycle also implies the above declaration - acceptance for all the above.
• The renter was advised during registration to use a helmet at every use. The use of a helmet is provided free of charge by the company to the member in each rental.
• In case of loss of the bicycle, the renter must compensate the company with the entire value of the bicycle.

Rental Terms
General Motorcycle Rental Conditions
Driver's age: Minimum age limit for 125cc 23 years.
Driving license: The driver must have European or international driving license for the corresponding class of motorcycle, be valid and have been issued in the country of residence of the tenant at least one year prior to the rental date.
Duration of hire: Minimum length of rental one day (24 hours). Delay of more than 1 hour is charged an extra day rental.
Insurance: All rental prices include simple liability insurance. The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to rented motorcycle.
CAUTION: No insurance coverage applies:
For whatever happened and found that the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads.
For damages caused to the bottom of the motorcycle, the tires and rims.
For accidents caused by a driver not declared in the lease contract.
For accidents for which the lessee has not updated Station Faros Rent a Scooter and submit an accident report, as defined by the Greek Legislation, regardless of fault.
Amounts relating to the damage of bike paid directly by the tenant even if he is insured by debit / credit card. In this case, the tenant is obliged to pay to Faros Rent a Scooter entire cost of repair or replacement of the motorcycle.
Security free (CDW): By paying an additional amount of 7 € per day the tenant has the opportunity to avoid the amount of compensation up to 250 € (for Cat.A) that can be caused to the motorcycle on his own responsibility. Excluding losses caused to the bottom of the motorcycle, the tires, rims and exhaust
Fuel: The fuel costs are borne solely by the renter. The lessee is obliged to return the motorcycle to the content of the tank to be like when received.
Method of payment: The rental bike is paid out in cash, bank transfer or credit card Visa and Mastercard.
Pickups - Drop offs: They become all in the station and in the hours of operation. Outside the opening hours and holidays, is only possible upon request and at an additional charge the lessee bears.
Reservations: For reservation deposit 30% of the rental is necessary in cash or by credit card.
Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation the deposit is not refundable.
Traffic Violations - Fines: All fines and administrative penalties charged to the tenant.
Helmet and locker: free helmet and locker to the lessee.
Taxes: All rates are subject to VAT, as determined by the state.
It is forbidden to carry more than 2 passengers.
The tenant is not allowed to use the vehicle for racing, wheelies or walks on the sand.
Renter must lock the vehicle whenever it is left unattended
The vehicle may be driven only by the driver and the persons referred to in this tenancy agreement.
The tenant is not allowed to take the vehicle outside the region of Folegandros island.
The tenant must return the vehicle to the lessor company in the same good condition you received it.
In case of mechanical damage the tenant must immediately notify the lessor company.
In an accident, the lessee is obliged within 24 hours to declare the incident, otherwise immediately become solely responsible for any damage caused.
Any infringement of the above terms results to the distraint on the bike from the renter without any refund. When renting the vehicle you declare that you have read the terms and conditions of this rental agreement

Traffic violations and fines are paid by the renter.
Payment: Payment can be effected by cash or card (debit/credit). Rental is prepaid in full. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned earlier than the agreed return date.
Delivery and pickup beyond office hours: delivery and pickup of vehicles beyond office working hours (after 22:00 and until 08:00) is subject to Agreement upon reservation and there is a 10€ charge.
Fuel: the renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected. In case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the fuel difference. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.
Accident: in case of an accident the renter is obliged to inform the company as well as the police and to present the police accident report to the station upon the return of the vehicle.

CDW - Collision Damage Waiver: In the event of damage to the vehicle the tenant is obliged to cover the repair cost up to the amount of the exemption depending on the category. The exemption amounts are:
500€ + VAT provided he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the contract for car categories A, Α1, A2, B and C (10€/day)
700€ + VAT provided he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the contract for car category J, J1The insurance doesn’t cover : damages caused because the driver was under the use of alcohol and drugs, damages caused from negligence, as well as use of wrong fuel, damages underneath the vehicle, the roof, the tires and the mirrors, damages caused while the car was in boat. In all the above cases the renter is obliged to pay the full cost of damage.
Proper use of the car: The renter must return the vehicle as received. In case the interior of the car has stains that require special cleaning, there is a charge of €20.
The renter must drive the “Faros rent a car” small category vehicles on paved roads, which are indicated on the company's maps. The only vehicles allowed to go on dirt roads (only those marked on the maps and not on footpaths) are vehicles of categories J, J1. In case of towing a vehicle outside of the categories indicated for unpaved roads, the charge is €50 + VAT + the cost of damage caused to the vehicle.

Fuel: the renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected. In case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the fuel difference. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.
Accident: in case of an accident the renter is obliged to inform the company as well as the police and to present the police accident report to the station upon the return of the vehicle.
Minimum Rental: The minimum rental fee is one day (24 hours. After the rental period, the tenant will be charged at least one extra day.
Insurances: Our vehicles are insured against third party damages and third party personal injuries (up to the amount set by the insurance), excluding a) Driver of Faros rent a car vehicle b) our vehicle itself c) theft of the car of personal items on or inside the vehicle.
CDW - Collision Damage Waiver: In the event of damage to the vehicle the tenant is obliged to cover the repair cost up to the amount of the exemption depending on the category. The exemption amounts are:
500€ + VAT provided he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the contract for car categories A, Α1, A2, B and C (10€/day)
700€ + VAT provided he accepts and signs the relevant terms of the contract for car category J, J1 (15€/day)The insurance doesn’t cover : damages caused because the driver was under the use of alcohol and drugs, damages caused from negligence, as well as use of wrong fuel, damages underneath the vehicle, the roof, the tires and the mirrors, damages caused while the car was in boat. In all the above cases the renter is obliged to pay the full cost of damage.
Proper use of the car: The renter must return the vehicle as received. In case the interior of the car has stains that require special cleaning, there is a charge of €20.
The renter must drive the “Faros rent a car” small category vehicles on paved roads, which are indicated on the company's maps. The only vehicles allowed to go on dirt roads (only those marked on the maps and not on footpaths) are vehicles of categories J, J1. In case of towing a vehicle outside of the categories indicated for unpaved roads, the charge is €50 + VAT + the cost of damage caused to the vehicle.

Rental Terms
Driver: For all vehicles minimum driver’s age 23 years old
Driver’s license: The driver is required to have and display a valid driver’s license issued at least one year ago. Citizens of Non EU countries are required to have a valid international driver’s license along with their regular driving license.
Traffic violations and fines are paid by the renter.
Payment: Payment can be effected by cash or card (debit/credit). Rental is prepaid in full. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned earlier than the agreed return date.
Delivery and pickup beyond office hours: delivery and pickup of vehicles beyond office working hours (after 22:00 and until 08:00) is subject to Agreement upon reservation and there is a 10€ charge.
